so many people I am talking to are going through exactly the same thing you are glob, only thing is these people swear they have never had any allergies
before. Go figure.

I have total muscle weakness. Is that part of it. And no, I have never had allergies before. My head is full, my throat all clogged, weak, and really tired.

global, are you taking anything for the allergies? Because if you are taking Benadryl or something like that it will make you feel like you have muscle
weakness. I have terrible allergies and sometimes my head feels like it is in a bucket of water. I use Loratadine and it helps but isn't perfect.
Of course, you may also have a virus with it. Going to the doctor might be a good idea.

both my hub and i are feeling the pollen this week. and yes it does make you tired even with no medication. I take benedryl at night and i sleep like a rock.
Claritin does help but it only takes the edge off at least for me. This week has been horrible...

I've had minor allergy symptoms before but this year I have been KILLED by them. I'm not taking anything, but I'm exhausted all the time, waking up
with a sore throat (from mouth breathing), sneezing nonstop, and my eyes look like I'm strung out on drugs. Yepper - I look HOT!
I'm contemplating breaking out the Claritin, but I hate the wonky feeling it leaves me with.... |

I have allergies and and a good friend that is into holistic medicine suggested I start taking a teaspoonful of LOCAL honey. Theory is you are getting the
allergens (MUST be LOCAL honey to work) in the honey and you will build up a tolerance to the allergens (much like going for allergy shots). I've started
but don't think I started early enough. I'll continue for the next six to eight months.
I'm augmenting with Claritin...... |

Close windows and use one of those ionic air cleaners. Expensive but worth it. Slapping more humidity in the air only leads to mold which I suffer from in the
fall when the leaves get wet. Although the humidifier may help bring the pollen to the floor this in NE and no more moisture is needed. Exercise indoors it
gets stuff moving and adds energy. My eyes and nose are itchy but I find cold water splashes quite relieving. I use benadryl when I absolutely need to but the
hangover lasts a day. Try to avoid if possible. I tried the honey thing a few years ago and come to think of it my allergies are less severe these days. Has to
be local and preferably from the comb itself.

I've never had allergies, either, but the last couple of days I've been really tired, my nose is running, and my eyes are heavy as hell.
A friend at work told me I probably was suffering from allergies, and she's probably right. ... I wonder what triggers it in someone who has never had a problem before. |

benedryl's don't seem to work as good as they used to. now trying claritin and so far, so good.
I was told that your body chemistry changes every 5-7 years and that is why allergies may appear or disappear. sounds plausible to me.

New pathogens are appearing here as the climate changes. The sheer number of allergy sufferers has jumped way up this year. My Mom is in agony with coughing,
sneezing and tons of mucus. She already went to the allergists - no help. Now she's seeing an acupuncturist.

I'm very sensitive to tree pollen, and usually suffer this time of year. But his spring is the worst I've experienced in decades. When I first got hit
with bad spring allergies in my early twenties, I felt like I was losing my mind....weak, shakey, dizzy, exhausted and having sleep troubles. It is clearly
possible to have these symptoms with allergies and without much of the more common sniffling and sneezing.

....weak, shakey, dizzy, exhausted and having sleep troubles. It is clearly possible to have these symptoms with allergies and without much of the more common sniffling and sneezing. I never realized that others were going through this the same way. I honestly thought the "weak, shaky, dizzy, exhausted" was a side-effect of the medication. When I woke up this morning I felt like someone had beaten the crap out of me overnight. Normally I would love having the windows open but it is impossible now.

People with outdoor allergies are reminded to wash your sheets often, or shower before going to bed. One of the reasons for waking up so groggy is the deposit
of pollen on sheets and pillow cases from your body and hair. This accumulates over time between laundry days and can add to the allergy reaction.
